In
the last few Grand Prix weekends Livio Loi tended to be on top at the beginning
of a training practice to end up much lower. At the Misano World Circuit RW
Racing GP’s Belgian rider was able to turn it around and build up his pace to
improve towards the end of the session.
In
the first practice Loi ended in fourteenth and that was his starting point in
the second practice, slowly building up lap by lap to finish in seventh by the
time the chequered flag was waved. With 4 minutes to go he even was in fourth,
but Loi couldn’t stick to that position although he improved his lap time.

“In
the last few weekends I couldn’t finish it, but this time I could. I found my
rhythm quickly this morning and was able to run 44’s. The bike was good from the
start. We didn’t have to change much to improve and even had the time to start
working on the tyres. We could concentrate on details and that paid off quite
well. You need a bit of luck in finding a position on the track to set a fast
lap time, but when you have your hands and your mind free in terms of a good
setup, it is easier. I believe we have found a solid base to build on for this
weekend and hopefully we can keep this up also in qualifying tomorrow.”
