Josh Daley Racing Brands Indy

18-year-old Josh Daley had one of his best weekends yet at round two of the Motorpoint British Supersport Evo Championship at Brands Hatch Indy this weekend. The youngster from Wigan secured a ninth and 10th in the two races.

Josh went faster than he ever has around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. Josh and his Dad, Andy made several changes for first practice on Friday, some of which worked and some didn't. They continued to work on the set up on his Kawasaki and as the weekend progressed Josh gained confidence and his lap times seriously improved.

The qualifying time he set on Saturday was over a second faster than he has been around the Kent circuit. Starting from 19th on the grid he was eager for race one, he struggled off the start and lost a few Evo places after the opening lap, he was 10th Evo after lap one, working his way up to ninth by the time the flag came out.

For the second race on Sunday he started from 21st place so he had a bit more work to do but he soon knuckled down and with some very consistent lap times he moved through to finish in 10th place in the Evo Championship. Scoring points in every round now he is lying in 12th place in the Championship standings.

Josh Daley - "It was a great weekend at Brands for us, I managed to secure two good finishes and I went faster in every session which is a huge improvement for us. We made several changes over the weekend and some worked and some didn't but it gave us a good indication on what we need to do. I really enjoyed the weekend and just want to carry on being consistent all year and improving on my times from last year and my results.

I'm really looking forward to the next round at Oulton Park, it is my local round and I love riding round there. Once again thanks again to my Dad for all his help this weekend and also all the sponsors that have continued to help me for this year."
