A round of golf gets us in gear for Round 2

Ahead of the Gran Premio Motul de la Republica Argentina, Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta was joined by the Governor of Santiago del Estero, Gerardo Zamora, and a host of riders at Termas de Rio Hondo Golf Club before track action begins on Friday – with Sam Lowes (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2), John McPhee (Petronas Sprinta Racing), Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46), teammate Celestino Vietti, Sky Racing Team VR46 Team Manager Pablo Nieto, home hero Gabriel Rodrigo (Kömmerling Gresini Moto3) and Qatar GP winner Kaito Toba (Honda Team Asia) all teeing off. Although not strictly a competitive event, the more veteran golfers were quick to show their experience – with the likes of Sam Lowes hitting the ground running more figuratively than a few as the novices took a few swipes at the turf. The likes of Toba, Vietti and Foggia found it a little harder going but they were nevertheless soon in the swing of things. For the scores, it was the best of each team that counted – and that’s where the pros came to the fore again. Carmelo Ezpeleta partnered with Rodrigo and Pablo Nieto, Lowes with McPhee and Foggia, and Carlos Ezpeleta teamed up with Vietti and Toba. So who won? That would be telling...
