Three heads attack. Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions is heading to Aragon with Jordi Torres, Ayrton Badovini and the new entry Kyle Smith

03.04.2019 – The MOTUL FIM World Superbike and the FIM World Supersport 2019 Championships are landing in Europe and Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions is about to get on track this coming weekend for one of the most heartfelt rounds of the season at the MotorLand Aragón (ESP).
The crescendo of performance shown in the second round held in Buriram (Thailand) makes the Italian team positive for the appointment on the Spanish circuit and strong with some novelties. The most important is the line-up that, as announced, will include three riders.
Jordi Torres (ESP) will be on the #81 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR in WorldSBK resolute to shine in his home race. The rider is from Rubi, close to Barcelona, and will have the passionate support of the home fans – one of the most competent and warm crowd when it comes to motorbikes – on his side.
Ayrton Badovini (ITA) will ride the first of the two Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with the number #86. He is focused on improving the performance as done in Buriram. The Italian rider will try and bounce back from the unlucky end to Thailand’s weekend in a highly spectacular WorldSSP.
As announced by Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions a few weeks ago, the Italian rider will be joined by the new entry Kyle Smith (GB) on the #11 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the 600cc category. He will be at the debut with the Italian team and will compete in the European rounds of the FIM World Supersport 2019 Championship. All eyes will definitely be on Smith this coming weekend.
The round of Aragón will be run on the 5.077 meters of the futuristic racetrack located near Alcañiz. The counter-clockwise circuit features a short pit-straight followed by the heavy braking of turn one, a left-hander that offers overtaking chances but that tends to make bikes slide. The first sector is quite technical and ends up-hill, while the second sector is mainly down-hill with the tricky turn 8 and turn 9. The final sector is very fast and, with the only exception of turns 12 and 15, riders will be flat out all the way to the wide left-hairpin leading into the pit-straight.
The weekend will begin on Friday with the two usual free practice sessions. WorldSBK will get on track at 10:30 and 15:00 (GMT+2), while WorldSSP at 11:30 and 16:00. Saturday will begin with the third free practice session at 9:00 for Superbike and at 9:35 for Supersport. The first European Tissot Superpole of 2019 will get underway at 11:00 for WorldSBK and at 11:40 for WorldSSP, while WorldSBK’s race one will get green lights at 14:00. The warm-up will open the racing Sunday at 9:00 (WorldSBK) and 9:25 (WorldSSP), while the Tissot Superpole Race will keep WorldSBK riders busy from 11:00. The FIM World Supersport Championship race will start at 12:15, while the second race of WorldSBK will begin at 14:00.
In Italy, TV8 (Freeview CH8) will broadcast race one and two of WorldSBK live, while the Tissot Superpole Race will be shown recorded at 13:00. Sky Sport MotoGP (CH 208 SKY) will show races and Superpole of both categories as well as all the free practice sessions with the only exception of WorldSSP FP1. Eurosport 2 (CH 211 SKY) will show race one and Tissot Superpole Race of WorldSBK.
Lucio Pedercini – Team Owner:
“The first two rounds outside Europe allowed us to understand our potential and figure out where we have room for improvement. I am quite excited heading into this third round that marks the opening of the European season. We will field three riders and strengthen the Supersport 600cc project, a category in which this year the level is very high and we aim to get good results. The passion and support of Spanish fans is going to skyrocket here: this weekend will provide a lot of spectacle and we want to be ready to be among the protagonists”.
