Baldassari shoulder ok, Marini first time in Argentina

Free practice session one and two are over on the sunny Termas de Rio Hondo circuit for Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini of the team Forward Racing.
"Balda", recovering from dislocating both his shoulders after a bad fall at the end of qualifying in Qatar, lapped conservatively today to check the feeling on the bike after two weeks of rehabilitation therapy. The young Italian was able to ride quite well despite two bandages restraints that restrict joint movement. He finished the day in 21th position with a personal best of 1'47.019.
"Maro" is instead at his first experience on the Argentinian track and used the day to study the circuit and find the setting for his bike. The rider of the VR46 Riders Academy finished in 24th place with a time of 1'46.257.

Lorenzo Baldassarri

"Today was a though day. All in all I am happy with my shoulders because I can still ride as I want. I’m not at the top still, I have to find more feeling with the bike and the track, tomorrow we aim to do as many laps as possible to improve for qualifying. "

Luca Marini
"We had two good rounds today because the gap with the leaders is not so big; I am quite satisfied as this is a new track for me. All the riders are a bit in trouble because of the heat, lap times will definitely improve and we have to be ready for tomorrow. We have yet to try a few things on the bike and I have to perfect the trajectories in order to be 100% for qualifying and race. "
