Alex Rins injures shoulder in training accident

Repsol rider fractures left shoulder in preseason training and undergoes successful operation at the USP Dexeus Hospital 
Current CEV (Spanish National Championship) 125GP titlist, Alex Rins, has today undergone a successful operation to treat a dislocated fracture of his left shoulder. The procedure was performed by the Chief of the Hand and Upper Extremities Surgical Unit, Dr. Xavier Mir, and Dr. Victor Marlet —Chief of the Back and Arthroscopy Unit— at the USP Dexeus Hospital.
On the brink of completing the two month waiting period required for him to compete in the World Championship, the Repsol Rider suffered a fracture to his left shoulder in training on Wednesday. He had previously been taking advantage of the winter break to rest and later carry out physical training, working hard in the gym and on the cycle routes. In order to keep ‘bike fit’, the CEV champion was dirtbike training at the Circuit de Catalunya facilities when his accident occurred.
Taken to the USP Dexeus Hospital, Rins underwent surgery this morning. The operation consisted of the resetting of the greater tubercle of his shoulder and a bloodless reduction of the damaged area. Rins will remain immobilised for three weeks before starting the functional recovery period. Owing to this setback, the Repsol rider will miss the first preseason tests for the new Moto3 category, set for the 8th-10th February at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

Das Verfahren wurde von dem Chef der Hand und oberen Extremitäten Surgical Unit, Dr. Xavier Mir durchgeführt, und Dr. Victor Marlet-Chef der Rücken-und Arthroskopie Unit-an der USP Dexeus Hospital.
Am Rande des Abschluss der zweimonatigen Wartefrist für ihn erforderlich, um in der Weltmeisterschaft zu konkurrieren, litt die Repsol Fahrer eine Fraktur zu seiner linken Schulter im Training am Mittwoch. Zuvor war er unter Ausnutzung der Winterpause um sich auszuruhen und später durchzuführen körperliches Training, harte Arbeit in der Turnhalle und auf den Velorouten. Um zu halten 'bike fit ", wurde der CEV Champions dirtbike Training auf dem Circuit de Catalunya aus, wenn seine Unfall ereignet hat.
