Speed Master team came back to the track on 7th and 8th February at Montmeló, taking part in the private tests organized at the Catalan circuit. Iannone managed to take advantage of the first day at disposal, helped by the favourable sunny weather and warm temperature. Today the rider from Vasto completed a total of 30 laps. This morning fog and humidity reduced the time on the track exclusively to the afternoon session; however, those hours were used to work on the basic setting of the MMXI Suter.
Andrea Iannone, #29
“This was a strange day, comparing it to yesterday, as in the morning it was very humid and the fog prevented us from getting on the track for a few hours. After the lunch break, we had a chance to use the afternoon and work throughout the time we had left. We focused on the basic setting of the bike during both days, trying out some last changes that we had previously prepared during today’s session. I’m quite satisfied with how these tests went and with the improvements we worked on at the end of the day. We have some different directions to choose from and we’ll try new things in the tests during the next days. We have to work hard to reach a perfect performance of the bike and to score good results. I’m thankful to the team and to Suter, as they are giving us great technical support.”
