In the first two sessions of free
practice Lorenzo Petrarca and Stefano Valtulini complete their first kilometres
on the track of Texas.

The Moto3 World Championship goes to Texas
for the third seasonal round, a completely new challenge for the riders of 3570
Team Italia. In the inaugural day of practice on Friday, Lorenzo Petrarca and
Stefano Valtulini make their first kilometres ever on the Austin track,
gradually trying to reduce the gap from Fabio Quartararo (KTM) author of the
best lap time of the day in 2'16"250.
After using the first two sessions of free practice exclusively to learn the characteristics of the Circuit of the Americas, Lorenzo Petrarca got his best personal lap in 2'20"198 (P31) in FP2, in constant improvement compared with the 2'22"541 of the morning.
First day in Texas with encouraging signals but with an unlucky outcome for Stefano Valtulini (P32). When he was improving his time and getting really close to the top-20, after the first 15 minutes of the second session, he crashed without consequences at Turn 6 and his FP2 finished in that moment.

Lorenzo Petrarca (3570 Team
Italia - Mahindra MGP3O #77) 31st, 2'20"198
"In the two sessions we took
some steps forward. I am trying to understand the right trajectories: Austin is
a completely new track for me and it's not easy to learn. With the references of
today, I think that tomorrow we will improve
further."
Stefano Valtulini (3570 Team Italia - Mahindra MGP3O #43) 32nd, 2'20"550

"I like the track and I found a
good feeling with the bike immediately. We started the second session very well
but unfortunately I crashed and I spoilt the whole session. I tried to push at
the entrance of the "double S" of the first sector, I lost the front and I
crashed. It's a pity, but the good news is that I am fine: we will do better
tomorrow."
Emanuele Ventura (3570 Team Italia - Team Manager)
"With Stefano we were going well in the second session. He likes the track and he has a good feeling in terms of setting: unfortunately the crash closed his session earlier. Anyway the feelings are good and from this point of view, we are confident: we can reach the positions in line with our expectations. About Lorenzo, he's still trying to find the right trajectories: with the experience of today and another step he has the possibility to improve, also because we are already in line with the riders of our group."
