Moto3 - 3570 Team Italia in 10th and 11th row at Termas de Rio Hondo

Stefano Valtulini improves in the official qualifying of the Argentinian GP and reduces the gap from the top, unlucky Lorenzo Petrarca involved in a crash caused by another rider.

With constant improvement in terms of performance, 3570 Team Italia has finished the official qualifying of the Grand Prix of Argentina with encouraging signals at the Circuit Termas de Rio Hondo. In a session led by Brad Binder (KTM) in 1'49"767, Stefano Valtulini and Lorenzo Petrarca have reduced the gap from the top gradually.

Thanks to a time in 1'52"737 really close to the reference group, Stefano Valtulini will start the race of tomorrow from the 29th position, after another rider got penalised. Unlucky Lorenzo Petrarca, 31st on the starting grid, involved in a crash unguiltily in the last minutes of the qualifying session and unable to improve his time of 1'53"704

Stefano Valtulini (3570 Team Italia - Mahindra MGP3O #43) 29th,1'52"737
"Compared with yesterday, we have improved and reduced the gap from the first and from our reference group. There was the potential to start up ahead on the grid, but in the last attack, I saw the yellow flags and it was not possible. Anyway we are confident thinking of the race: we have a good set up and we are not far from the group of riders that precedes us.".

Lorenzo Petrarca (3570 Team Italia - Mahindra MGP3O #77) 31st,1'53"704
"In the third session of free practice and during the qualifying, we have defined a set-up suitable to my riding style. Now I like the bike, I can ride it well also in the bends and this is necessary for the race. Unfortunately at the end I was involved in the crash of another rider and I crashed too: I had the potential to improve but I was unable to do it. In World Championship the qualifying are like a race, you always have to give your best and episodes like this one may happen. The positive aspect is that we are fine for tomorrow and this makes me confident in order to recover positions.".

Emanuele Ventura (3570 Team Italia - Team Manager)

"We are quite satisfied with the improvement compared with the first two practice sessions. We are on the right way with the set-up of with both our riders, we have missed some luck to qualify up ahead. In the last minutes Lorenzo was involved in the crash of another rider and he was unable to improve, same situation for Stefano that had to slow down due to the yellow flags. Anyway we expect to be in the second chasers group in the race, it would be a good award for the work done in these days.".
