Four days have passed since the last eventful race in Termas de Rio Hondo,
and the MotoGP action is about to start again in Austin, Texas. During this
North-American round of the Championship LCR Honda Team is proud to “wear” the
Rizoma black livery (Premium Brand in the production of design components,
invented and created in Italy, dedicated to the motorcycling field), that is
going to deck out LCR Factory Spec Honda’s also in the next Catalunya and
Silverstone rounds.
Cal Crutchlow showed his high potential both in Qatar and Argentina GP’s
running at a strong pace and improving each lap in both races even if the Briton
could not turn his performances into a strong result. In Termas De Rio Hondo,
particularly, Crutchlow has set a pace similar to the leaders in the second half
of the race (lapping faster than Dani Pedrosa who has finished third overall).
Thanks to these encouraging data, the LCR Honda rider aims to challenge his
competitors at the front of the field once more this weekend at the spectacular
Circuit of the Americas.
#35 Cal Crutchlow
“I feel like I've had two strong rides so far; in Qatar we had a slight
electronics problem that has since been fixed by the Team and Honda, then in
Argentina I had a great pace that could potentially have been a podium, but I
never made them count. We need to try and go as fast as possible in the next
races, and although I definitely want some points on the board, I'm not going to
cruise around just to get them. My attitude isn’t going to change.”
“I enjoyed this track three years ago, the changes of direction are
really nice, it's a fantastic circuit to be at and I really enjoy riding here
because it's so technical. We might struggle a little with the speed of our bike
here as still in fourth and fifth gear the Honda is still not really able to go
fast at the moment, and this is the circuit we need them. Hopefully we can make
up for it in other parts around the track.”
