Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions highly motivated at the eve of the round in Assen

10.04.2019 – No time to breath. After the exciting round at the MotorLand Aragón (ESP) where Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions clinched its best result of the season in the MOTUL FIM World Superbike 2019 Championship, the Italian outfit is getting ready to hit the track again for the historic Dutch round at the TT Circuit in Assen (NL), that is the fourth round of the season and is also valid for the FIM World Supersport Championship
The team led by Lucio Pedercini will get on track for this historic round with the three aces that defended Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions’ colours in Spain. Jordi Torres (ESP) will be on the #81 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR and, strong of the great feeling with the bike he will be trying to repeat the exciting performance put in at his home round of WorldSBK. In WorldSSP the Italian outfit will field two riders on as many Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. Ayrton Badovini (ITA) will hit the track on the #86 bike resolute to bounce back after the unlucky weekend in Aragón, while Kyle Smith (GB) on the #11 sister bike will defend again Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions’ colours after the positive debut held one week ago at the MotorLand.
The historic Dutch circuit of Assen is a legendary place for motorbike fans. Its 4.542 meters are among the quickest in the calendar and riders will have to face a challenge quite different from that experienced in Australia, Thailand and Spain. The pit straight is only 300 meters long and riders will go through it banking as it follows a chicane. The first four turns are all right-handers and turn 6 ends the first sector introducing riders on the fast second sector in which rapid up-shifting leads to the third intermediate at turn 8. The central part is quite twisty with turns 9,10 and 11 while the closing part is quite fast again but ends with the chicane proceeding the pit-straight.
Racing action will get underway on Friday with two free practice sessions at 10:30 and 15:30 GMT+2 (World SBK) and 11:30 and 16:00 (WorldSSP). The third free practice session will be at on Saturday morning at local 9:00 for the highest class and at 9:35 for the 600cc. The Tissot Superpole will be at 11:00 for Superbike and at 11:40 for Supersport, while the riders competing in the MOTUL FIM World Superbike Championship will challenge each other in race one starting from 14:00. The warm-up will open the racing Sunday at 9:00 (WorldSBK) and 9:25 (WordSSP). The Tissot Superpole Race will follow at 11:00, while the race of Supersport will be at 12:15 and WorldSBK’s race two at 14:00.
There are a lot of chances to follow the race. The official webpage www.worldsbk.com will provide the Live Video feed for all sessions, with the exceptions of FP3, warm-up and FP1 WorldSSP. SKY Sport MotoGP (CH 208 SKY) will broadcast free practice, Superpole and races of the highest class as well as the race and Superpole of WorldSSP live. Eurosport 2 (CH 211 SKY) will cover live the Tissot Superpole on Saturday, Superpole Race and the race of 600cc on Sunday, while Eurosport (CH 210 SKY) will follow WorldSBK’s race one and two. TV8 will cover free-to-air (CH 8 DTT) the two races of WorldSBK live and Tissot Superpole Race recorded.
Lucio Pedercini – Team Owner:
“Coming from Aragón we are aware of our potential. In WorldSBK we made big steps forward both in terms of competitiveness and race pace, but we still have some work to do limit the tyre wear we had in the most recent round. Jordi is really motivated, he is a warrior on track and I am sure he will give his 101% even far from the Spanish fans. In WorldSSP the round at MotorLand has provided mixed emotions, therefore, we would like to restart from Assen with full focus. We know we have two great riders, Ayrton and Kyle, and a bike that provided good feedback in our maiden 600cc season. The TT Circuit is a very fascinating circuit and we will try and honour its tradition at best”.
