On Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 April, competitors in this year's 24H Motos on 20-21 April
are invited to take part in two days of testing at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit. 51 teams will participate in the Pre-Le Mans tests essential to race day preparations.
After several months of groundwork, teams will use these non-mandatory testing sessions to
carry out first on-site shakedowns of their machines ahead of the 24H Motos start on Saturday
20 April at 15:00 given by Jorge Viegas, president of the International Motorcycling Federation.
Racers will take the opportunity to set their marks at the Bugatti circuit.
Top 2019 24H Motos contenders are confirmed for the testing sessions, including F.C.C.
TSR Honda France's #1 Honda - winner of the 2018 24H Motos and defending FIM EWC
champion - as well as Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, YART-Yamaha, ERC-BMW Endurance,
Team SRC Kawasaki France and Honda Endurance Racing. Additional participants are
Team Bolliger Switzerland, Maco Racing, Mercury Racing, National Motos, VRD Igol Pierret
Expériences, and other Superstock and Experimental class teams.
The tests are scheduled from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00 both days. All sessions
will be timed, giving participants a chance to gauge form.
The track will not be open to the public, but the Automobile Club de l’Ouest is organising a
Facebook Live session on Tuesday 2 April starting at 18:00 with official 24H Motos
commentator Bruno Vandestick. Feel free to ask questions during the live broadcast.
The 42nd running of the 24H Motos, second round of the 2018-2019 FIM EWC season, will
be held 18-21 April with 60 teams taking the start.
