Yamaha Motor Europe and Crescent Racing are today proud to announce a new
3-year “Presenting Partner” agreement with Rizla - the World's No.1 Rolling
Papers Brand – to create the “Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team with
Rizla”.
220 years of heritage and innovation have led Rizla to be the dynamic brand
it is today. Originally established as a family company, its roots date back to
the 16th century thanks to the inspiration of Pierre Lacroix (hence the famous
Rizla “cross”) with the family later granted their production licence by
Napoleon in 1796. Synonymous with bold, inventive creativity, Rizla products are
now sold in more than 120 countries worldwide.
Colourful presentation and Rizla’s “Never Settle” ethos are the foundation of
the brand’s personality and strong history, while its presence in the music and
motorsport industries has helped to keep its image dynamic and personal. Rizla
has a longstanding passion and association with motorcycle racing - having been
title sponsor of both British Superbike and MotoGP™ teams previously managed by
current Yamaha Team Principal Paul Denning, between 2002 and 2011. The Pata
Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team with Rizla is excited to be bringing this new
partnership to the Superbike World Championship for the first time and to “Keep
Rolling” forward as Yamaha continues to develop its long term WorldSBK challenge
at Aragon this weekend.
Peter Corijn -
Rizla:
“Rizla is the world’s most popular rolling paper and we are delighted to sign
this sponsorship deal with another top brand - the Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK
Team. Rizla’s core values of colour and inspiration sit very nicely with the
exciting world of Superbikes so it’s great to be back in motorsport, the perfect
platform for communicating those values. Furthermore, our new marketing campaign
“Keep Rolling, Never Settle” is very appropriate for the two wheels environment.
We wish the Team all the very best for the 2016 season and beyond.”
Paul Denning –
Team Principal:
“It is with great pleasure and pride that we welcome Rizla to the team, to
the Yamaha family and to the Superbike World Championship. Crescent has
significant experience of the Rizla brand, which we hope will help us to provide
them with the best possible return on their support. Rizla’s commitment is also
of course a great sign of faith in Yamaha’s WorldSBK project and the Superbike
platform that the Championship itself provides. I am also sure many racing fans
will welcome the return of Rizla’s Grid Girls! We look forward to a successful
partnership together, on and off the race tracks, over the next three
seasons.” |
