At the MotorLand Aragon of Alcañiz
begins the adventure of San Carlo Team Italia in FIM Europe Supersport Cup with
the young riders Axel Bassani and Alessandro Zaccone.
The seasonal debut of FIM Europe
Supersport Cup scheduled at MotorLand Aragón is also the beginning of a new
adventure for San Carlo Team Italia. After the continuous success in Superstock
600 European Championship in the past three years (2013-2015) with two titles
out of three, 11 victories,21 podiums and 13 pole position out of 25 races, San
Carlo Team Italia begins the new adventure of FIM Europe Supersport Cup, a
category included in the FIM Supersport World Championship, which replaces the
Superstock 600 European Championship.
The change of category is helped by the confirmation of the technical partnership with Puccetti Racing Team and Kawasaki, a guarantee of ambitious programs in order to valorise th best promising riders of the "production-based racing motorcycles". With the help of Cristiano Migliorati (Team Manager) and Stefano Cruciani (Sport director), Aragón will be the debut of two young talents, both born in 1999, ready to race against important protagonists of the Supersport World Championship: Axel Bassani and Alessandro Zaccone.
The two riders of San Carlo Team Italia, who have already proved their talent in the pre-seasonal tests, will aim for the victory of FIM Europe Supersport Cup, and, at the same time, they want to show off in the Supersport World Championship, thanks to the collaboration with a professional staff who will help them to improve, in order to make experience to reach the top of the class.

Cristiano
Migliorati (San Carlo Team Italia - Team
Manager)
"After an hibernation winter
and after positive spring tests, we finally get back on track for the first race
weekend. Our goal is to do well in the European Championship, but I don't deny
that we want to do well also in World Championship. Axel and Alessandro are two
smart guys, two interesting riders that have all the potential to become
protagonist in World Championship. For them, the main aim is to show off and to
win in FIM Europe Supersport Cup, starting from the good tests of last week in
Aragón, a technical and difficult track, that they were able to learn very fast.
Stefano and me are positive, we can't wait to
start!"
Stefano Cruciani (San Carlo Team Italia - Sport Manager)
"After a long wait, we finally start this new adventure. We are curious to face with a new reality: class, race format and rivals. Anyway we are firmly convinced that we have all the premises to do well and the riders have the potential to be at the top in European Championship, and why not, also in world championship. Our main goal is to help Axel and Alessandro to grow up during the season and to make experience for the future."
Axel Bassani (San Carlo Team Italia - Kawasaki ZX-6R #47)
"Finally the 2016 season starts and I want to thank the Italian Motorcycling Federation and San Carlo Team Italia for this big opportunity to race in Supersport European championship. It will be an important year where I will face with some riders that take part in World Championship since several years: it's an experience and an opportunity to improve weekend after weekend. With Kawasaki I have immediately found a good feeling and the tests were positive. Our goal is to fight for the victory of the European championship and we will do our best to succeed."
Alessandro Zaccone (San Carlo Team Italia - Kawasaki ZX-6R #61)
"To be part of San Carlo Team Italia makes me proud and to represent the Italian Motorcycling Federation and San Carlo in this class is a dream that comes true for me. I will do everything in order not to disappoint the expectations on me and to take advantage of this great opportunity. Our goal is to classify as best as we can in the World Championship standings, but also to do well in the European championship: we will do our best to reach the goal!"
