Tech3 Racing duo makes important steps in Jerez

From Monday to Wednesday, Bo Bendsneyder and Remy Gardner completed three successful days of testing at the Jerez Circuit. The Tech3 Racing pair tried various modifications on their Mistral 610 machines and eventually drew positive conclusions.
Gardner concluded the second outing of the year in 14th position, following 58 laps at the Spanish track. Thereby, the Australian did well to find himself only 0.3 seconds off the top 5, which shows the competitive speed of the Tech3 Racing team and Gardner’s excellent speed. Meanwhile, Bendsneyder ended his third test amongst the ultra-competitive riders of the intermediate category just 0.299 seconds behind his team mate in 21^st.
From 6^th to 8^th March the Australian rider and the Dutch Moto2 rookie will be back in Jerez for the final test before the championship is set to commence just one week later in Doha, Qatar.

“Overall, this test was quite positive. Yesterday I did my best lap time. We tested a lot of things and found many positives after the last test. Although I have to admit that I was struggling bit today, I tried just too hard and wasn’t able to get a truly good lap together. Anyway, I feel like we are definitely one step closer to where we need to be for the first race in Qatar.”

“I’m quite happy about the test, especially about today. This morning we improved the bike in order to give me more confidence, above all in the fast corners. Finally, we found a good way to improve the overall performance, which we immediately saw. I was happy about the lap time and also the pace wasn’t so bad. Thanks to the guys, they worked really hard. I’m already looking forward to the next test!”
